FEATURED CUER: TJ and BRUCE CHADD
TJ began square dancing in 1975 with a teen group in Boise, then taking her first round dance lessons in 1980. TJ danced everywhere she lived. She spent time in North Carolina; in Okinawa, Japan, where she began cueing in 1984; in Utah where she continued to cue and taught her first classes; and then returning to her home of Boise, Idaho in 1991. Bruce caught the square and round dance bug in 1995 when he attended a square and round dance weekend with his parents. In the spring of 1996 TJ and Bruce were introduced by mutual friends and began dancing and teaching together, happily saying "I do" in April, 1999. They continue to teach through phase V, with their Boise round dance group Dance with Me Rounds. They've also had the pleasure of teaching at several weekends throughout the U.S. as well as at Roundalab, USA West, and national conventions. Their choreography includes many dances that have been chosen for ROM's and RAL ROQs. They enjoy membership in several dance organizations including ICBDA, Roundalab (where they served on the board of directors for three years), Boise Valley Square Dance Hall, and Intermountain Square and Round Dance Association. Both TJ and Bruce are retired from full-time employment and when they are not teaching or dancing they enjoy time fishing, reading, traveling, and spending their winters 'snowbirding' in Mesa, Arizona.
